Between 23 and 26 April more than 31,000 professionals from all over the world visited WBI 2013 to find out about innovative products, adapted services and individual approaches in all fields of water management. The network of the export-oriented German water management and research, German Water Partnership (GWP) presented itself together with 20 member companies very impressively at a joint booth and at the diverse supporting programme.

On 30 January 2013, Stefan Girod, Managing Director of German Water Partnership, died prematurely at the age of 48. Still utterly inconceivable to most of us, he passed away unexpectedly. For all who knew him, his death came as a blow out of nowhere.

Waste management and recycling, water/sewage technologies and municipal vehicles—the participants of the next IFAT Eurasia from 21 to 23 October 2021 in Istanbul will be able to enjoy an extensive range of environmental solutions. This year, a special focus will be on combating the impending environmental disaster in the Sea of Marmara.

The countdown’s on: only two months left until IFAT Eurasia 2019—Eurasia’s leading environmental technology trade show—will open its doors in Turkey from March 28 to 30. Visitors can now register online for the event to meet market leaders such as Dikkaya, Putzmeister, Standart Pompa, Tomra or Wilo at Istanbul Expo Center (IFM).

From October 15 to 17, 2018, IFAT India will open its doors for the sixth time already. The environmental sector will use the around 12,000 square meters of exhibition space of the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai to maintain and establish contacts to the Indian market.

After four days packed with events last friday Wasser Berlin International 2017 (WBI) came to an end. At its conclusion, the trade fair and congress reported satisfied trade visitors, significant numbers of international exhibitors and visitors as well as high participation in the supporting programme of events.

’Only water, but Everything about water’ – Berlin is the capital where water means everything and where water covers seven per cent of the city’s surface. Managed by Berlin’s waterworks, the city’s economic water cycle is equivalent to that of Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart put together.

The next IFAT Eurasia will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) from February 16 to 18, 2017. Alongside the trade fair, visitors can look forward to a technically demanding conference and supporting program that caters to the needs of the Eurasian environment market. Among the highlights are the Turkey country special on the first day of the trade fair. Discussions will include how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be implemented in Turkey.

The current number of registrations for this year s IFAT India, India’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies, is exceeding expectations: Around 150 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in the upcoming event (September 28 to 30 in Mumbai).

Between 1990 and 2014 the level of environmentally harmful greenhouse gases in Turkey rose rapidly, to 468 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. That is an increase of 125 percent, as is evident from the latest figures from the Turkish Statistical Office TÜIK and from Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI).
